Gendron named DII PING All-South Region

NORMAN, Okla. – Saint Leo senior men's golfer Ryan Gendron earned Division II PING All-South Region honors, announced Tuesday by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Gendron is a four-time honoree on the PING All-South Region squad. He takes to the course for round two of the NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championships at Reunion Resort at 1:17 p.m.

Gendron is ranked 25th in Division II with a 72.64 adjusted stroke average. He opened the stroke portion of the NCAA Championships with a three-over 73 on the par 70 Watson Course in Kissimmee.

The Lions' senior is one of 17 Sunshine State Conference members on the 22 man South Region team. Lynn led the way with six golfers followed by Barry and West Florida, both with three apiece.
